1999 Mazda Miata MX-5  Stella's Little Car

Hi, this is Stella Ashen.  

For the past 24 years, my beloved silver 1999 Miata was my daily driver.  I planned to keep it forever.  

Unfortunately, this past April (2023), it was totaled by a hit-and-run driver.  That maniac turned left into me at a high rate of speed.

They flew through a red light from a side road.  They smashed into my driver’s side so hard that my engine flew up and dented the hood from the inside.  

Miraculously, I was not injured.  But my Miata was done.  

The search began for my replacement car.  

My husband Jeff always wanted me to get something newer (and preferably much bigger).  

But my Miata love runs deep; before the silver 1999, I drove a white 1990.  

To appease Jeffrey, I test-drove a brand new Miata.  It was great, but I love the NB body style.

So — after a very exhaustive search across the country — I’m delighted to report that I replaced my totaled 1999 Miata with…. (drum roll, please…) a 1999 Miata.  

My new NB is Emerald Mica.  It’s gorgeous!  It has only 24K miles, and the interior is perfect!!  It drives like a dream!  I love it!

A little rain doesn't hurt....   lol
